Marina is teaching dancing to our deaf third grade students here with the aid of the fm systems.

This is what she wrote about her experience at FAID:

“At the beginning of May when I arrived at the Father Andeweg Institute I didn´t know what to expect.

Was I going to be able to communicate with
the children? And the teachers, would they feel threatened by my presence ?

Luckily, things turned out the other way around. I found easy to relate to the children, they accepted me with a lot of affection...as for the teachers I always saw their arms opened to welcome me.

If I have to talk about my three weeks experience in The Father Andeweg Institute for the deaf I must confess that
I have felt at home all the time.
I have seen teachers working very hard and getting very involved in their tasks with the children.
I have seen happiness and hope in them.
Maybe the school doesn´t count with the most modern installations but it surely makes up for it with lots of love and involvement in a generous task.
As a witness of hard work, love and generosity, Father Andeweg is a school where nobody could talk about unhappiness.

I surely hope I have been able to leave a little trace ,to transmit them something.”

Thank you, Marina for your enthousiasm and your commitment.
