Dr Pratibha Srinivasan (http://www.evdcweb.org ) gave a very interesting workshop to the staff of FAID and invited guests from other deaf schools from Lebanon on the 6th -10th of September 2011. The workshop dealt with training deaf children in using their hearing abilities to the maximum while using hearing aids, teaching them cognitive thinking and helping them to build a big vocabulary so that they reach the same academic ability level as a hearing child. The teachers and staff of Faid gave up a week of their summer holidays to attend this workshop. Dr Pratibha also met with parents to discuss ideas for working at home.
